What we hear at the festivals is that so many people remember their dad/grand-dad smoking cigars straight out of these boxes. Not so affordable these days but there are plenty of these boxes now storing old pictures, precious documents, and the odd wedding ring. We take these and build some trusses inside to support the card. Then it's a standard two-strip oak neck, and a nice shiny humbucker. It's standard 56cm bridge to bridge and tuned G-D-G with string gauge .42mm, .34mm and .22mm wound strings. These instruments remain the only ones in the world (perhaps with the exception of the blues harp) to look better being played, the older you get!!!
