Like the 6-string Chisel Monkey Redneck Mandolin, this is born out my inability to play a mainstream instrument. So we took a large box and lengthened the scale to 70cm. Usual string gauge of .42mm, 32mm and .22mm and a tuning down to DAD completes the picture of the Chisel Monkey Redneck Bouzouki. Nice rich tone and plays well acoustically also. Single Coil pick up for a crisper sound, strap hooks. Best played in front of the range in a farmhouse in Donegal.
